107.9 NW San Antonio, with classic hits

Has any one else heard this signal?

There's a mystery signal on 107.9 that doesn't come on 24/7, but it plays oldies and classic rock with no announcements when it's on. It sounds like they're using great audio equipment, with crossfading in between songs and good processing/compression on the sound.

It's strong near Castle Hills, sort of strong in the Medical Center, and I can barely get it here at 281/Bitters.

Let's see if they're reading these forums, LOL make an account and send me a PM if you wanna I like your station.

I was on I10 near Wurzbach since my last post, actually heard it in stereo there.

Maybe it's this one I mentioned previously or someone close to them. I haven't heard the previously mentioned station on very much in recent months, but this new one has a heck of a lot more range when it's on air.

At least they have their audio set up correctly with good stereo separation. It has some 80's in the mix now, as well as 70's and older.

I haven't heard the thing since my last posts-- think they saw me.

It seems they added more variety into their mix, which is back on the air sometimes. It's on right now.
I've heard other genres like country and rock, making me believe it's that 90.5 (check the link to the other thread) with a new more powerful transmitter.

This station actually sounds better than all the professional stations' audio equipment, so the pirate wins in my book whoever it is.

I haven't heard this station in over a month. I have no other info other than my guess that it's probably gone for good at least for a while. Hopefully the transmitter ends up in a safe place with a good broadcaster.
