107.9 off 100.5 on in Portland

The Worship networks translator in Portland @ 107.9 has moved to 100.5.Same 10 watts same tower location, same terrible signal.Anyone know the reason for the frequency swap?

Skowegan is about 90 miles from Portland. It's really strange that a 10 watt station that far away would interfere.107.9 Skowegan isn't very listenable until you get north of Lewiston. Now that it's on 100.5 which doesn't seem to come in very well at all in Portland,it pretty much makes out of market station WHEB 100.3 not listenable which is about 50 miles away.

So Portland loses WTOS to an LPFM and now WHEB is gone. Which rock station will they lose next lol.s

The translator is 10 watts on 100.5, WHEB is on 100.3

No loss of WHEB unless you're in the driveway of the transmitter site.

How does a 10 watt transmitter affect a station 90 miles away?
I'm about 2 miles from the transmitter and haven't been able to get WHEB listenable at all.It always came in reasonably well before.I think they're bleeding on to each other because neither one is listenable. WHEB is still ok in the car but driving close to the 10 watter on 100.5 it never comes listenable in stereo. Is it worth the electric bill. When it was 0n 107.9 it was about the same horrible signal.

For what it's worth, I was part of the team that installed the new 100.5 antenna for W263BZ 100.5 Portland. The reason for the changeover was that the folks at WFMX 107.9 had listener reports that the Worship Radio translator was interfering with their signal, so were willing to pay for the frequency change. From what I hear, both parties are happy with the change.
