So far WKMB has been on the air every night this week with a dead carrier, from the early evening until well past midnight. No audio, but the signal is definitely at full daytime power.
I wonder if the remote control that turns their transmitter on at sunrise and off at sunset accidentally also got programmed with the times flipped, so in addition to turning the transmitter on at 7:15 AM and off at 4:30 PM (WKMB's scheduled times for December), it also turns the transmitter back on at 7:15 PM and then off again at 4:30 AM?
And since WKMB's studio is in a notoriously gang-related-crime-ridden part of Plainfield and nobody would dare set foot there after dark, I bet no one at the station is hanging around to notice the mistake!
