Jason Michael Hood sent me this message this morning: "Picking KNTH up nightly at 1070 AM in Belize, Central America. Originally from Paris, Texas and it's nice picking up a strong (and slightly static) voice from the Lone Star State."

KNTH is difficult catch because of it's tight pattern from it's 11 tower array (9 at night)
10KW day and 5KW at night.
 
I remember when I lived in Houston, driving west on I-10 I would almost lose you completely by the time I got to Katy Mills.
 
Definitely! KNTH has to protect 1070 KOPY in Alice, Texas, in addition to 1090 KULF in Bellville as well as 1050 KCHN in Brookshire. It's unfortunate, but at present, there is nothing that KNTH can do about it. I have suggested buying them, but that is not going to happen. When then KENR went 24 hours in 1972, 1070 covered Houston. However, Houston has outgrown the pattern.
