1080 AM Studio's Firebombed

Seems a former employee got upset he was fired and firebombed the studio this afternoon. 1080 has a carrier up but no audio at the moment.
 
Probably should have remembered to take away his key...
 
I listened to WSB's news cast at 9pm EDT.

They said that the disgruntled employee, a station visitor, and an on duty employee had burns The on duty employee was in critical condition, after a molitov cocktail had exploded. The disgruntled employee had suffered the burns when after he lit the device.


It's a sad situation when first, Neil Boorst gets e-mail threats then a former employee of another station does this stupid crap.
 
How long has this station been doing Korean? Radio Locator lists it as Spanish programming.

Are there other Korean programmed stations in the market?

WPBC, 1310, out of Decatur. 2500W day, 31W night.
 
Used to be....the worst a disgruntled ex-employee might do is run the hand-held bulk eraser up & down the cart rack in the studio ::)

Isn't that the damn truth. That and mashing the headphone ear muffs into an ink stamp pad before bidding adieu. That's pretty much the extent of it. Hope everyone will be ok.
 
It can be pretty bad when you discover that the former Engineer has made a spare key to the transmitter shack too. :-\
