What's going on with mid-days on KOKC? Fred Thompson has disappeared. In his place is "Spotlight Oklahoma," an interview show spotlighting area businesses, from 11 to 12. The show is OK, but it sounds more like Chamber of Commerce type promotion than either entertainment or public affairs. It would be more appropriate on weekends. And it's certainly a weak show to put up against Rush. The 12-1 slot is a noon time information hour with lots of news and syndicated information features. Not a bad idea. Noon and late afternoon 60 minute news blocks are good, but I know they're expensive and probably don't attract as many listeners as a good talk show.
