11 ALIVE SCROLLING TWEETS/COMMENTS ON LOCAL NEWS

Now who came up with this idea? At the bottom of the news they are scrolling
tweets or comments from people. Not only are they very distracting but I think
they "cheapen" the news. I could see this on a talk show or Jerry Springer, but
on the news? Have they no mercy? If if wanted everybody's opinions, comments
and dumb statements I would be watching a talk show or Springer, not the news!!!!
 
I think it's a great idea. I actually enjoy looking at the comments and have commented myself. It is a way of being more involved in the newscast.
