11 Alive Weatherman shakeup?

I noticed that a new guy, Josh Johnson, has started doing the local reports for WXIA's WeatherPlus digital service.

I also noticed that weatherman Steve Adamson, an AMS certified meterologist, was reporting on the carjacking of the Hawks player this weekend.

Someone is getting ready to leave WXIA, and I suspect it is Steve Adamson. Anybody got any confirmation?

No, Josh has been there a while. (It doesn't say much) He was the chief meteorologist for a station in Meridian, MS before coming to WXIA. You'll also see him on WATL on Sunday mornings at 9am. They're grooming him to keep Chris Holcolmb from having REALLY long weekends since he does the morning and night shows.

Adamson, however, has been "demoted" to reporter status/fill in weather guy. If he's got any dignity left, he might want to send a tape WGCL's way. I hear they need a new chief meteorologist. ::)

Yeah Steve Adamson is not the best weatherman, or reporter.

I wonder if Flip Spiceland might end up on CBS46 as their main weather guy. Chris Holcomb could move to mornings and noon on 11Alive, a position move he greatly deserves.

Well, from what I understand is that the upper echelon wanted him to be more of a reporter than an on-camera meteorologist. But, it may have been his request for some odd reason, but I doubt it.

Steve Adamson has lost his voice, which has made his forecasts torturous to listen to.

And seeing him as a GA reporter was really weird - he should stick to weather...

::)

Man, he did his best to get through those weathercasts. He's a tough (and really nice) guy.
