agree with this 100%. i would think they could simply announce that "our plans to put a new format on 1110 have been delayed" and simulcast. the ONLY reason I can think of NOT to do that is if the new format is literally days away. if they have all the ducks in a row for a, for instance, memorial day launch it would make sense to keep the redirect loop running. what's another two weeks following the extended life of this loop? but failing that, put SOMETHING on 1110. the opportunity cost of the lost revenue has to be expensive. now it's just an expensive ad for 107.9. and a limited ad at that, with nothing actually promoting the format, only the band and frequency.They should continue the simulcast until a decision is made.
is it possible that 1110 has fallen through the cracks, and nobody at U1 remembers they own a big AM in Charlotte?
