1110 Still spinnin country

well 1110 is still spinnin those country hits with no station ID's (excluding TOH) and no commercials.

How long has it been now?
I'm surprised no one has leased out this 50 kW stick. It puts a solid signal here in McKinney, Im sure its Ft Worth signal is great, Dallas Too.

It is odd, I would have thought it a better spot for Salem's business radio venture than 1160. 1160 is horrible in much of fort worth.

What time is 1110 signing off this month? 5:30, 6:00 pm? That's probably why Salem didn't want it.

Maybe but few can hear 1160 at night either.

I heard KVTT a few minutes after 6:00 this evening so I decided to check out their sign-off times. This month it's 6:15. Also found that their earliest sign-off time (5:30) happens in November and December. Their latest sign-on (7:30) occurs in December and January.

I thought KVTT signed off for good a few months ago (not the KXT deal, but after they went to AM.) Or is this where the calls remain? I believe Rational Radio was trying to work a deal there at this time last year, but I don't recall what it was leasing for. With the FCC freeing up LP aps, finally, the interest in spending $65K a month is less attractive for smaller groups who can build up a network of LP units strategically blanketed across an area for a fraction of the cost. (65K, BTW, is what BizRadio used to lease 1360 for per month.)

Does KVTT have a playlist?

Again that's proably why nobody wants it. I DJ'd for a small town daytimer years ago and it stunk to have to shut down during drive time, we always got complaints from listeners for doing it.

Are they on the net streaming?

I found an oldies stations in my affiliate travels for Air Britannia that was a daytimer. They used the stick on the day parts. Then announced they were signing off and to listen on the web.

Not only does this allow them to continue at night but is less Sound Exchange payments because they don't stream 24/7!

Also know a religious station in Las Vegas doing a similar thing but they broadcast at night.

Of course that nighttime power is a whopping 4 watts!

Not living in DFW, I just wanna know what is heard on 1110 at night there. I doubt that KFAB or WBT have a lobe there. XERED Mexico City?
