1120 Knoxville

For the 3 people who are even aware of this station, there's been another format change. Having gone through ESPN Deportes, ESPN, 2 sports networks at the same time (for days!), and a very short stint with oldies (maybe a month), the latest format: All News, using America's Radio News. No legal IDS or spots noted.

I was DX'ing (a lost pass time) and heard the oldies on 1120. Sounded great and was wishing they had an FM. Signal is good in South Knox, Maryville and Seymour, decent even in Sevierville/PF.

Music is pretty much doomed on AM except maybe the country classics or gospel. Still waiting for a decent classic hits/oldies signal in K-Town!

"Still waiting for a decent classic hits/oldies signal in K-Town!"

On FM, that is!

98.3 just doesn't cut it and 105.7 the Hog is good, but it really isn't what I think of as 60s/70s/80s classic hits. It's really classic rock.

May be a long wait. Right now I listen to John Records Landecker at night (bringing back "Rock of Chicago" and other jingles) online at WLS-FM.
