Save money, don't build it. Make money, sell the permit for whatever someone will give. There is no money to be made with an AM signal anymore.

""Save money, don't build it.""

Problem is, the site is already partially built. The towers are up, phasor and transmitter buildings are in place.

Wow- who builds a station without a CP? Amazing.

They HAD a construction permit. They just didn't get it finished in time, and the CP expired by law.

The request for reconsideration was dismissed by FCC. It is noted in todays FCC Daily Digest. So they will either have to tear the site down or hope they can purchase the CP next time there is an AM auction.

Third option would be to see if they can get another AM signal, and move them into the array.

Congressman's Hanna and Tonko, struck out, now US Senator Schumer is getting into the act. The Cranesville Block Co. failed to meet its deadlines, and FCC regs are very strict and explicit. The only way to get this back on track is to wait for the day the FCC holds another auction and be the successful bidder. Schumer is on TV and radio about every week talking about something that should be legislated into law. For the most part it is the first time and the last time you hear about it. He is just "grandstanding". While I am sympathetic to Cranesville, given the investment they have put into this station, you have to realize that regulations are regulations and wonder what part of "no" don't they understand?
