1150 changes

I realize brokered talk isn't tops on most people's list, but this station is SO much worse than even bad brokered stations. Can somebody please spruce this thing up? Cancel the quack metaphysical hosts paying squat rates, put on Dr. Laura or Glenn Beck or somebody in drive times, build an audience, and sell time at high rates. I'm doing this as a public service so no one has to hear EVERY CALLER hang up, hosts who can't hear guests, callers who can't hear hosts, board ops moderating shows, stopsets whenever they feel like them, and :47 commercials.

Now who has the (small) money needed to save this failure?

Ain't gonna happen. Marginal signal, no budget for even bartered programming, let alone paid syndication. As long as the bills are being paid - you won't be seeing any programming changes at 1150.

Yea, but are they even paying the bills with the rates they charge for hours in morning drive? Just seems that they could brand themselves as a mainstream station and get mortgage brokers to pay $600/hr. Thanks.

I got an idea for Sandusky, BLOW UP KKNW! Why not just simulcast KLSY, your
favorite FM. You guys did it years ago on 1540 (now KXPA). The programs on KKNW
are just plain lame. If I want infomecials, I'll watch cable tv. Or better yet,
sell KKNW to Salem. Yea, now's there's the ticket! (They just love low power AM's. )

I know there are the proverbial 50kw flamethrowers, but most AMs on the dial don't have 6kw at night. Is the signal really that bad?

If you go back far enough, this frequency was one of the major players! They even had their own TV station!

I've heard that they had a 5kW non directional transmitter before they
moved to the eastside, with their current directional site. Why change sites?
I would think that their signal would have been alot better then than now.
Yes, they did have a TV station, KRSC-TV ch.5, KRSC-FM 98.1 and of course
KRSC 1150. (KING-FM was @ 94.9)
