1150 KIMM to add FM

They've received FCC approval to move from 107.9 to 106.7 to avoid being displaced when KXZT signs on. Watch for the translator to come on in July sometime.

Adjacent channels rules don't apply to translators in the same manner as they do for primary stations. Since translators are secondary services that can be shut down with very little notice, a field strength analysis that proves it won't harm any other licensed facility is all that's needed to get a translator on-the-air.

thanks Kent. If translators are ok with a hundred watts or so, why does the NAB pitch a fit about third-adjacent channel protection when it comes to LP FM stations which have at most 100 watts?
