1160 back on separate programming + "Mighty" dumb promos

The "Smokin' Oldies" have returned to KMGS-1160. The simulcast of 1190 only lasted a day. Must have crashed a hard drive in there or something, and used 1190's programming as a backup.

And 1190 is running out of "Mighty" ideas for their cure little promos. One today said, "Mighty wants Channel 5 to run the Finfrock and Scruggs commercial again." What the hell does that mean? There was another one equally as senseless today, something about "Mighty" went out with a girl once because of her big...album collection. These new promos make about as much sense as a Nike commercial.

Finfrock and Scruggs? I saw that lame ch.5 promo about 4 years ago.
"Mighty" is stretching things a "Might bit". What next? Mighty Mouse sound effects?

Ira Lipson must be writing the promo copy. Just a guess.

Gimme a break. Ira's contributed FAR too much to radio and to this market to deserve a jab like that.

AMEN!

If Eye was the person writing the copy, we'd actually here something clever and interesting.

I detect a non-denial denial. Not your work. But not too different from a line like, "When Shaquille O'Neal's face breaks out, we'll break in."

I didn't mean it as a jab. The line about the girl's big... album collection reminded me of the sort of stuff Eye used to do for a certain sports station. Do you disagree?

Ahh, sorry. I read too much into that. Just keeping an Eye out for a friend!!

Same era, Joel Folger.
