Just curious. But are all you people on here everyday, every stinking minute all unemployed or have no life? 1160 WHO FRIGGIN' CARES!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

This is a forum for discussing radio issues. If you think it is boring or a waste of time, why are you here?

Most of us spend only a few minutes a day here, and have plenty of other things to do. Also, not everyone here works banker's hours, either.

I have to co-sign with Mediafrog on that.

Well, as of this morning they changed from oldies to an adult hits format. Looks like they're getting ready to flip it to talk in a couple of weeks

I believe the change takes place on Monday, Sept. 18. Thats what they're saying on the station Dan Patrick owns and runs here in Houston.

New name of the station KVCE ("The Voice") Not sure if they're going for actual call letter change or not.

The FCC online database already reflects the call change to KVCE, as does radio-locator.com.

Earlier info on this board that the calls would be KCVE was probably a typo or misunderstanding of the legal ID.

Patrick's KSEV in Houston has used "The Voice" imaging for several years now.

Darn, another dead spot on the dial. Default formats for failing stations: Spanish, country, or (yawn) talk.

Well today is the day, what happen to the flip? They're still oldies!

Oh boy another [EDIT] conservative right wing station :'(

KVCE is now on the air with "The Voice of Dallas". It's simulcasting the morning show from Houston.

Folks, lets face it, most people will NEVER hear this station. They don't tune to the AM band and probably only hit a pre-set on 820 or 1310 when they do.

Unless this station runs a ton of TV ads and billboards, it will get no audience and only a trickle of revenue.
