1190 why not use the Foggy Mountain platform?

How come Clear Channel does not change 1190 to the Foggy Mountain (Classic Country) platform they have on Iheart radio, other CC station like 104.7 in Albuquerque, WKDA 900 in Augusta and 96.1 KXY in OK City to name a few are doing this... Very good playlist with national DJ's... DFW Needs a good classic country station.. or hey pick another CC station on the FM dial... Any thoughts?

I'll venture a guess that in its current form 1190AM makes money. Pay to play is a viable business model for them. Music radio won't generate revenue.

Clear Channel fears a major equipment malfunction that might cause the station to go off the air. They call it the "Foggy Mountain Breakdown."

That's the truth, and the way most AM stations still make a little money. It's sad the once Mighty 1190 has become a billboard.
