It's a little too "punchy" for Country Music. (I'm comparing it to KWKH)

1190 could make a little dent in the ratings if First got serious and put up the dough for live/tracked DJ's and promotion. But its a placeholder format and I doubt it will last long.

Update at 5:24pm - Just heard "Margaritaville" dump out for a traffic report, then fade right back into the song. Is someone paying attention there? Hello?

You're asking a lot when it comes to 1st broadcasting. Paying attention? I don't think so.

Yeah, you're right there. What's with these b.s. press releases even implying they're going to hire on anyone? The company is nothing more than a broker, buying and flipping (selling) them.

I doubt classic country will last as long as oldies. As long as 1190 and 1160 are still on the sales lot look for a lot more flip-flopping. I wish they'd spent a little money and put Scott Shannons oldies format on it. Im also amazed nobody's bought 1190 yet. Is it a "White Elephant" with those 16 towers?
