***Right on 1, 2 and 3. As far as quick results, we ALL want them but many in radio forget just how difficult it is to change minds (listeners and their favorite stations). Many quick victories are short lived- the right mix of patience and persistence usually ends up in a success.

> etc?) This book makes for some interesting talk, regardless of exact numbers.

***It appears the JACK/OLDIES flipping was a win/win. JACK is ranked #3 in adults 25-54 and 97.1 has hit the Top 10 for the first time ever. Both stations are also showing good forward momentum through the different phases of the spring book.

Other battle (probably the biggest) is country, where in 25-54 adults, WSIX is 5th, WKDF a close 6th and WSM-FM a close 7th- man, what a dogfight! WKDF outshines the other country guys 18-34, ranking 4th overall.

Re: ratings

I seriously doubt that Bob is saying ratings are hypothetical. What he is saying is all of the discussion of what stations should do in reaction to these ratings - strategies, staff changes, program changes, format flips, etc is hypothetical. Unless we are insiders in the industry, we're usually blindsided by the decisions these stations make. Are we making these posts because we want to have influence on the decisions made or do we do it because radio is a something we all share a passion for (as you stated in an earlier post)?

In response to the way the ratings thread got a bit out of hand - the more critical we become of each other the less likely we are to freely and comfortably share our opinions on the board.

WTN needs Teen Forum Show on their weekends! This would give them a ton of new ears and increase their ratings in the upcoming fall books. Something to think about....
