1210 WPHT didn't air Drudge Report last night

I noticed that 1210 WPHT didn't air Drudge Report last night and instead they aired past segments of Michael Smerconish's morning show during that 10 PM-1 AM time slot that Drudge is usually on every Sunday. What is going on here?

Someone at PHT showing a rare display of good judgment?
 
Quite possibly WPHT is looking at how things shape up with WLW's Cunningham before committing to air the show, or, decided after Drudge left to not carry the show at all.

In his first week on, Cunningham was reportedly miffed that his "home" station, WLW, failed to carry the third hour and he was disappointed that he "wasn't getting support from his home station. To quote, 'If I'm good enough to be on WABC, I'm good enough to be on WLW."

Sounds like a good move by WPHT. At least it's a local "Best Of" and not Rush or Hannity. Think of the possibilities.
 
Talk show reruns aren't very entertaining. Particularly when it's talk based on current affairs. Live and syndicated is better than local on tape. At least in this format. And, aside from Smerconish and Sid Mark, WPHT's local personalities are nothing to write home about.
 
Once again WPHT shows how to degrade a once great talk station into a second rate broadcast property. Reruns of HOT AIR SELF-CENTERED Smerconish is a bad mistake. Drudge's replacement from Premiere Radio isn't bad. At least there is WABC 770 Radio.
