So I'm still trying to comprehend and understand the concept of WECK's new local talk show.

It is only a half-hour in length and apparently does not feature any phone calls from listeners.

Corey Griswold doing a 30-minute monologue on the hot topic(s) of the day just doesn't do it for me.

I want local content but I don't know if this is something listeners will make appointment listening each weekday afternoon.

Other thoughts???

Sounds to me like WECK needs a competent program director. Anybody know where they can find one?

Busy, busy, busy at WECK Radio:

Riter Radio Golf Classic, 6/13 9:30AM @ Harvest Hill Golf Club. Thanks to Buffalo Sports Garden & Tim Hortons.

I think there's been more WECK threads started on this board in the last few weeks than there are actual listeners. :D

As opportunity presents itself....

I've been yawning here with the George Board for awhile...(damn, no yawning emoticons )

But that's only me....sitting in the corner (but dang that Rochester Radio Reunion sounds exciting!! ;D)

I hear ya HDBG! The George has started 19 posts since his premier earlier this month. I don't know nor have nothing against him, maybe a speed bump or two will slow him down. ;)

Hi-Ya from One-Nigh-A.........memories memories. Do you think people will remember the current staff in 50 years the way they remember tom thomas or jerry jack??

I am NOT Brad.

Hey, here's a compliment for Corey's 12:30 pm show. He just had Paul Peck on to talk about the Sabres/Rick Martin (actually still on but I had to run into an appointment and I'm typing this as I wait for the client to see me. Maybe she's listening to 1230 AM?)

Good discussion. Still think there should be an opportunity for phone calls but it sounds like Corey's manning the entire station by himself and it's hard to screen calls and set them up if no one else is answering the phone (hint hint Brad.)

It's a local show. I do try and listen each day if I'm not meeting with a client.

I still miss Tom Schuh's local newscast, but maybe I'm one of just a few WNYers who listened to that on a regular basis?
