Neil Tesser's Miles Ahead afternoon jazz radio show on 1240 and 1470 AM was announcing yesterday that they will be off the air on 1470 at the end of this week, and off 1240 at the end of June. Does that signal anything going on with Air America on those frequencies? Or is it just another failed short term brokered venture to be replaced by a new brokered shows? Is something bigger really up at 1240 and 1470?

It will always stay brokered. They charge an arm and a leg over there.

I don't see 1240 dropping the brokered shows anytime soon. 1470, however, if you look down below, *might* be picking up AAR as a simulcast of 850. Of course 1470 will be able to leave AAR on all night after 850 signs off.

Btw.. I'm pretty sure that 1240 is more than making up for the lack of ratings/ad sales on Nine.
