May I try the 1250-1340 spectrum from an historic perspective, from SE Queens County/Long Island NY circa 1963?

This would be overnights, with much of the reception on Monday mornings..

1250 WTAE Pittsburgh -- Mostly classical
1260 WNDR Syracuse -- Weak but steady Top 40
1270 WXYZ Detroit -- Top 40
1280 (When local WADO was off) CJMS Quebec -- MoR/Chicken Rock
1290 WICE Providence -- Top 40
1300 WERE Cleveland -- quiet MoR
1310 WGH Newport News -- Top 40, and CKOY Ottawa -- pop/MoR -- when they'd
'forget' to go directional
1320 Pittsburgh again ... I forget the calls -- MoR
1330 (With local WEVD off) A weak but steady WHOT Youngstown OH -- top 40
(but once got KWWL Waterloo IA -- AM catch # 1000 )
1340 When top 40 WMID Atlantic City was off, it'd be anything from WOOK DC
(R&B) to WKGN Knoxville (Top 40) to other Carolinas.
1350 WADC Akron -- C&W, with a female DJ, and a steady WEZY Cocoa FL audible
under the trucker and train songs. I actually forget WEZY's format.....

There were lots of musical reasons to tune in AM rdio back then -- even overnights.

1280 WGBF Evansville
1290 light slop
1300 WNQM Nashville
1310 WTTL Madisonville
