what is this like the fourth time? I say bring Benner and Bragg back! What direction could Clear Channel go now? Was JMV crushing the time slot? Did MPOS do like he did at WISH-TV and demand way too much more money?
I disagree with people who never work with someone yet consider them a jerk. I worked with you.
I never found you to be a jerk. I would not say you were unsure of your path or interest.
Can I level and say Sports reporting typically (add your favorite word to describe something you dislike)? Before you took the WISH TV job and I heard about it, I groaned thinking of how it would be. Let me point out in detail your many failures so you can avoid this in the future.
You failed in the major categories which are monuments to Indianapolis Sports reporters: 1) Ethnicity: You were not black, lesbian, disabled, or otherwise hired for ethnicity alone. 2) Ability to Read: You can read a teleprompter and forbid, even, can ad lib to the nervousness of those who can only read a teleprompter. (Your ability to get into and out of the teleprompter without a train wreck caused your cohorts much pain as they envied this.) 3) Entertaining: Sports is boring by nature and someone who outshines the rest of the staff sucks Mark. I found I enjoyed sports for the first time. I watched WISH to avoid one of the stereotypes who fit the mold. At the time WRTV made a big deal of noting you would not be welcome there. They said it was because you weren't serious enough. Was it because you might attract viewers?
Sorry about your outage at WNDE. Their loss. Even if there are internal problems I note as this is envy as the listeners love what you do. Would love to see you replace the Stereotype of the week.
Mark, I know Chet Coppock, and you are anything like Chet. He didn't last long here either. Look at how far he has fallen....I wish you the best in your future.
It is a big time shame, I think Mark Patrick is tremendous at what he does. Hopefully we get to hear him somewhere again. If not, maybe they need to fire up the old Hoosier Lottery show again??
