1260AM on 96.1FM?

It's a 250 watt translator licensed to Fort McDowell, with the antenna overlooking Las Sendas. The "Phoenix" sign on the side of the Usery Mountains kinda points in the direction of where the stick is located, but misses it a little to the south...

It sometimes hashes over when I try to enjoy KSWG from my house in Mesa...

I wish KBSZ kept the oldies they started with...Those were fun. NBC 1260 isn't, especially with 50 watts at night...so to me, the translator is a waste...but that's just me!

Agreed about the oldies. Right now, they have an identity crisis...they're a sports-talk station identifying themselves as a general talk station in a market that has enough sports-talk, especially with all the transients who aren't really fans of the home teams (I sure see a lot of Steelers decals on cars in the land of the Dirty Birds).

I noticed this too. KLPX used to enjoy ok good coverage in parts of the East Valley. Not any more. IIRC it still comes in alright in south Chandler etc.
