Anyone remember this non-standard ID?
"This is 610 WIP, Metromedia Radio in Philadelphia", with ownership between calls and col.
or
"WIBG AM and FM Philadelphia"? sted "WIBG and WIBG-FM Philadelphia". The AM being standard broadcast, needing no suffix. I have Air-checks with these ID's on them.
and in Dick Clark's "Rock Roll & Remember", he told the story of giving a signal to his wife, that if he ID'd "WFIL, Philadelphia", he'd be home late. If he added the preposition "in": "WFIL in Philadelphia", he be home for dinner. (possibly reversed)
Legal ID 's have been tickered with for decades.
