1340 WIFN Translator on 103.7

99 watts on that little 1340 tower. Mainly a southwest Atlanta signal.

What I don't get is why it doesn't have to offer more protection to WXKT 103.7 Chuck FM out of Gainesville...its smaller lobe points northeast.
That said, I haven't had any problems today picking up WXKT.

Honestly no offense, but who the F cares??? Just another ridiculous signal for what it is worth.

680's translator on 93.7 probably outbills the c1 at 92.9 by almost 10 to 1. If Dickey wants to put effort into 1340, he will eventually out bill 92.9 on that FM signal too, b/c 92.9's sales department is constantly turning over b/c 92.9's sales management is always turning over.
Success in radio -- even big-city radio - will always be about whose sales staff is better and hungrier.

Are you sure of the around 10 to 1 sales ratio? In a market were agencies control a huge amount of the money, and the last time I heard 92.9 has a 2 to 1 lead over 680 / 93.7, that would be hard to achieve.
Last year 92.9 outbilled the 680/93.7 translator by just under 2.5 to 1.
What is true is that 680/93.7 gets about double what 92.9 charges in primetime, Monday-Friday 6AM-7PM, despite lower ratings. The evening and weekend rates for 680/93.7 are miniscule, however.
What Mountainman is saying about salespeople has some validity, but ultimately ratings and billings have a lot to do with each other.
