1350 "3wl"

I know the brand name is a play on sister station WWL, but the first thing I thought about when I read this story was the now-defunct talk station in Washington known as "3WT."

As for "3WL," it's going to have local talk, mixed with NBC Sports Radio programming and a daily food show.

I give it six months.

Six Months???
The same idea was given when WWL lost rush to WRNO, but they haven't changed. I think 106.1 or other underperforming AM's picking up ESPN, maybe somebody re-launching 1450. I Think I will wait to see what 1350 will show on OCT 14.

That would be nice. Either that or classic country, something in the N.O. area. Music on AM again would be a great novelity

I noticed that Tom Fitzmorris is back on 1350 now, just like he was back in 2001

Tom never left 1350. His show will only be shifted from drive time to midday to make room for Spud, who's show is moving to make room for Angela Hill's new show

1450 a dead issue as license got turned into FCC and cancelled.. latest rumor is a flip of 100.3 from swamp pop format to ESPN

If that is the case (in witch I doubt (no offence RFLA)) Truck, Ken, Mrs. Gloria, Joey, and Bud, being asked in person, are keeping a tight lid on it.

Most on air wouldn't know anyway, but I'm of the vote that he has his format all to himself and I figure he is making coins with it, would be why flip it as you said if you have some success. But I decided to report the rumor as it was published, and the fact that two espnstations in the broadcast area have flipped (plus Truck still has KLEB to keep those mentioned above employed)
