1380 WGSE

Very well, The old trailer out in Brigeton, The old Ampliphase TX for WGSE, The move to James City.

Yea the old WVWB trailer out in Bridgeton. I did a school newspaper article about the station when I was in The 9th grade in 1972 and this is where I started to like radio. It was great when they moved from the trailer to the studios on US 70 in James City. A really nice facility for a small town and WGSE had a great soul format which back then you could not get anywhere in ENC. Thanks for the post I posted this a long time ago.

I remember WGSE being used in the 1980`s-early 1990`s for Channel 43 (Religious) in Myrtle Beach, SC. It was owned by v.James and Jo Anne Thompson (who still own WGGS-TV 16 in Greenville, SC). The Thompsns also still operate Channe 57 in Norcross (Atlanta) GA. They sold WGSE-Tv 43 bck in the mid 1990`s. However, as part of the contract, their Greenville Religious Show "NiteLine" still airs in the wee hours of the Morning. Was the radio station ever associatedith the T.V. station?

I don't think anything religious but "Shepherd's Chapel" runs on Fox 43 these days, unless "Nightline" is under "Paid Programming." That pops up sometimes but I hardly ever watch it. If I do, it's an infomercial.
