1390 WPLM Off The Air?

Has anyone else noticed that 1390 WPLM has been off the air for the past couple days? Not that anyone listens to it, but just figured it should be noted. If they wanted people to listen, they'd put the older music that 99.1 doesn't play anymore on there...

I thought they were still doing that business crapola outside of simulcasting their FM.

Yes, that's right. They simulcast 1120 WBNW during the day, during the week last time I checked. Really gotta wonder how many people are listening. At least they'd have a small but loyal audience with Soft AC or real oldies.

They're back on now. I can hear the same programming as the FM (which it normally runs at night) in the mix of signals here on 1390.

Maybe "Oldies" with local Jocks in the evening and on weekends, cross promo from FM side.

I think WATD airs a broad schedule including most of the local High Schools.

So they probably air some Plymouth I'd imagine. Thanks!

Still would like to see hyper-local on 1390 but again, WATD-FM does a great job @ covering the South Shore.

Does anyone remember when (80's) WATD-FM was simulcast on Brockton's 1410? Ed Perry either owned or rented 1410 back then, but it didn't last long, as perhaps the addition of 1410 was not all that beneficial.

Also, WATD had WATB on the cape, 103.9 I think in the early 90's????

I think I read he owned 1410 which is why WATD-FM has the -FM suffix. I remember WATB. They were a good little station!

I was in Manomet today, gave 1390 a try, no signal??????

I'm within sight of the towers right now, and there is no sign of the signal here either. Maybe they've become a nighttimer?

There were rumors going around within the last year or so that the contract to simulcast Money Matters was running out, or had run out... Not sure if that is the case or not now, or why they'd fire the transmitter up at night just to simulcast the FM.

I think oldies would be a good fit if they decide to no longer run financial programming. It would do well on the Cape. 50's, 60's and 70's oldies would do nicely. Can't hurt. Simulcasting on 1390 from the FM side would be a waste. It's got a great signal throughout the Cape.

1390 signal is up this am..... oldies would be great, if done in house, no bird....

Are they back to the WBNW/Bloomberg simulcast? If not, can you identify what they are running?

They were on at 7:20am this morning (//1.120-WBNW), then they were off again when I got home, by 9:15am——maybe they are doing daytime antenna work (e.g., painting)?
