I give Saturday Night Live's 14 March 2009 edition a middle to slight Thumbs Up.
Opening was okay with Tracy Morgan playing a Tracy-Morgan-like character. I was surprised that the audience didn't pop when they showed John Cena, but then they also didn't pop for Tina Fey. Morgan brought back his (only?) 2 characters Brian Fellows and Astronaut Jones. I always liked Fellows and at least Jones skit was short.
Weekend Update was about the same, slight Thumbs Up.
Positives were The View (all five played their characters extremely well and it wasn't too long), Scared Straight (especially Bill Hader almost laughing however I could tell Morgan was reading cue cards), and the Digital Short. Everything else was okay.
As much as I loved it when they first did it, they need to stop showing the Edible Pampers commercial until season end. I fast-forwarded past it for the first time.
