1400/95.3 now Nash Icons

Now that they have the 96.5 translator for sports, Cumulus has launched their Nash Icons format on 1400/95.3 combo. Tip of the headphones to my friend Steve H for the headzup! Soooo we now have country at 93.9, 94.9, 95.3, 97.9, 102.3, and 106.7, plus am 1480, 1000, and 1510 all licensed to the Harrisburg metro area. Not to mention the York/Lancaster signals. Ya want country? Ya got plenty of options!

cbs sports is on 96.5 & what other station in harrisburg?

if country is on 1400 & 95.3.

The Harrisburg market is inundated with Country signals. In addition to 105.1 and 107.7 Lancaster and Gettysburg, there is 100.5 out of Elizabethville just North of Harrisburg, and Hanover's 1280 which also features a Classic Country format.

With as many country stations as there are in the area, I can't understand why Harrisburg would need another.

Cumulus has been launching their Nash brands in as many markets as they can regardless of need or saturation. Lets assume one of the many country stations in/around Harrisburg flips, what the heck do they flip to?

Nash ICON

Despite the # of stations, Nash Icon is different than any of the other FMs. It plays current based music but its library goes deeper into the 90s with a smattering of 80s tunes. If you consider 94.9, 105.1, 106.7, and 107.7 CHR Country stations (currents, recurrents, gold back into the 00s only), ICON is the country "A/C" format...with deeper gold to appeal to an older demo.

I'm told Nash is now gone; at least from 1400?

I remember back in the mid 1970's radio 14 was WFEC and they played modern country. It was a smash. With lots of compression.

Don't forget 93.5, which just celebrated it's 40th anniversary on-air December 4th.
