1400 Lemon Grove

What is the thnking behind an a.m. station to serve only 25,000 residents?

There are a couple of AM's in town what barely do that in their cumes.

Would that be a problem with Tijuana 1420? And how much consideration is given to interference issues across borders?

Lemon Grove has to protect co-channel Ensenada. This is truly a "LPAM".
Excellent point, radio-darn...

Mexico accepts stations in the same market at 20 kHz intervals, so 1400 and 1420, both relatively low power and at some distance, would probably not bother Mexico at all.

Whoever it is that got 1400 I wish them alot of luck, they could make a really neat little local radio station to Lemon Grove. With ALOT of hard work he or she might break even in about 3 years.

Tecate moved to 1390 at least 9 years ago, with a power increase(was 250w) and DA.Outside of the city, it was getting clobbered by the 1380 from AZ in A.M. and P.M. hours.Sadly, FCC has a lot of stale information.
