1450 -- -- 150+ Stations. Which One Do You Want to Log?

I apologize to the screaming mob of three who were waiting for last week's 'FCC's Most Wanted' frequency list. Pressing obligations here.

Me? I want WYNY, Milford PA. They're right there on the Delaware. With our local WPAM Pottsville, years ago having gone the way of the real boneyard, WYNY should be a semi-pest, no?
No. I haven't heard them once. I've gotten a few other 1450'ers from PA, and some from a few other states, but no such luck with WYNY.
It looks as though another sunrise-to-midnight session is called for, under these exceptional circumstances. It would be my first such vigil, hi.

How about you folks ? Out of the thousands of GY stations, which one on 1450 makes you go 'Grrrr' when it is never there?

KEZJ Twin Falls ID. Running Sal y Luz Catholic Radio (Spanish), they are // to KCID-1490 which I've heard about a hundred times. But never KEZJ.
Also KEST San Francisco. When aurora is up, often I'll get 1400 KVTO Berkeley with their Cantonese format. I've heard Asian stuff on 1450 (not KSUH) on auroral nights but they've always faded down before the ID.

In East Tennessee I'm between WLAR, Athens, TN and WLAF, Lafollette TN. My most wanted, for no particular reason, is WIOE, Fort Wayne, IN (the old WLYV).

KFIZ in Fon Du Lac, Wisconsin. I heard it once midday one Saturday when the Chicago 1450 was temporarily vacant in the mid '70s. But not since. The only station in Wisconsin beginning with a "K" call letter.

Back in Queens NYC, I had experimented (what nerve for a non-techie, huh?) with using the exact midday to ferret out a few problematic catches, and actually nailed a few. The theory (again, what nerve) was that the midday DX would be free as possible from the leapfrog / hit-or-miss conditions of SSS or SRS propogation. It would be pure groundwave, no? Get your best azimuth null on the loud station, hold your breath for :30 minutes and wait for some recognizable and IDable blip to your satisfaction.

Ironically, I had suggested sometime back to a DX pal that he use the same approach to try to net his own private, troublesome, elusive station. It was just now, after reading the responses, that I remembered my pal's 'plight' station. It was on -- where else? -- 1450.
I never found out if he nabbed his nemesis.

Hence; GR8Oldies, you might want to try for your WIOE at the exact midday.
Since I'm not technically advanced -- I flunked both Physics I and Physics II in high school and had to take both over during the same semester -- I'm tragically unqualified to suggest what season is best during which to do this.

I note that Cyberdad's subsequent post mentioned KFIZ at midday.

I really dont know what my most wanted is.

From Laramie, Wyoming.. I've heard 1450s in UT, ID, MN, OK, and NM.. KNSI 1450 was my new graveyard record

I guess something different than the handful I already have in the log. The one in La Grande, Oregon is a frequent visitor here. Not that I mind, as I like Eastern Oregon, but something different from the ones I've heard already would be cool. The problem with GY channels is usually the station fades right before any ID or ID-able info. On rare occasions, the reverse is the case...
