1460 Big Country Gone?

Looked at their website and they also broadcast on 93.1 FM. Maybe they put the country on FM and are flipping the AM to sports.

Which is pretty odd considering how close they are to the Metroplex and there is already an ESPN O/O. They also list themselves as a Rangers network affiliate. Maybe 103.3 doesn't get down there.

Signal sketchy in FTW, doubt it's audible in Dallas. Convince some national agency in New York to believe this a legit DFW stick, and they include the demo in their national campaign. It's not real, but what is these days.

They've been Texas Rangers' AM station for three years. 103.3 starts to break-up in Mansfield where I am. KCLE carries Burleson, Cleburne and Mansfield high school games, occasionally Arlington. Did TCU hoops this past year. Heard they may add Baylor football this Fall. Daytime signal is strong. I've heard 'em in Denton, Ennis, Corsicana, West, Granbury, Weatherford. Hope they do well.

I think its a good move. It gives ESPN clearance for their network play by play when the Rangers or Mavericks are on 103.3. No more farming out to 770 for extra coverage. Also may be used a conflict resolver when Mavericks are on 103.3 and Rangers have to be on 660.

Dang. I really like being able to tune in 'Hickory Nut' country.
Can't argue it, though. Gary Moss knows how to make money.

KBXD-1480 has been carrying Rangers baseball most of the season as well. I don't know if that affects the relationship with 660 or not.

The TR network was looking to get more coverage south of I-30 at night because the 103.3 xmitter is so far north. KBXD clears the games on an "at will" basis. They carry only the games they want to and can preempt the Rangers for local programming at any time. They are also not required to carry any pre or post game programming. They usually go back to regular programming as soon as the game ends.
