1460 WEMK West Allis still off

As reported previously by Fighting Irish, AM 1460 had been off the air, and today is still off. Yet the translators on 92.9 and 102.5 are still up and running. The AM is never mentioned other than the legal ID, and nothing has been filed with the commission notifying them that it's silent. I wonder if The Family Network even realizes 1460 is dark.

On a side note, Civic Media doesn't have 1290 WZTI back on yet either, and 1510 WGKB has been off for at least a week. But of course Good Karma's 101.7 is still on as well.

Never said anything about 1460, but I don't listen to it, especially since Family bought it (along with 92.9). However, I did occasionally tune in to both translators before they were sold. 1460/102.5 played smooth jazz, and 92.9 simulcast a classic hits format from a Hartford AM station. I preferred them to WRIT, even though it was mostly jockless and likely an afterthought compared to WTKM.

I was in the Racine area yesterday, and both 1290 and its 107.3 translator are currently off. Don't know about WGKB 1510, since the signal is incredibly weak, at 250 watts, and exists solely to feed the Milwaukee translator. Like 1460, I suspect few people would really notice if the AM is on or off.
