1460 : Your Most Wanted Station, Dark or Alive

My own elusive pain-in-the-biscuit is also the closest-unheard to here, so I guess the absence makes sense.

IIrc, this was the flagship 'Gem' Oldies station in the S/WB market. They've added others ... a few FMs.

But they put some juice this way. We're southwest of Hazleton on that day map.

Yet, while visiting the wife's relatives one eve, I could not raise the station at all.
In Scranton! And their night pattern is right AT Scranton.

WZMF 1460 seems to be a theoretical sunrise catch here, before the dominant Harrisburg turns their xmtr to the daytime omni one.

What is your 1460 arcade duck to knock down ?

I actually snagged one a few months ago that I'd been chasing. WBOG from Tomah, WI. (ex WTMB). A little before sunrise, they rose to the top of 1460 for about ten minutes overtaking KXNO and the rest of the slop. Supposedly 42 watts, but I'm guessing they were at 1kw day power. Tomah is about 80 miles north of Madison, and about 160 miles northwest of me.

KENO Las Vegas, NV. Elusive for years, never audible under local KUTI or (going back to western WA) local KARR.

Also KION Monterey CA, which I thought I logged but I don't think I got a clear ID.

I've heard WBNS, Columbus OH from East Tennessee so I'm going with WJCP, North Vernon IN (which, as WOCH, holds the distinction of being my very first radio job interview. Should be very doable.
