Just curious. Is 1460AM still on the air? I worked there, briefly (as most people did) in the 70s when it was Top 40 KIRL. I recently looked it up on Google Earth and it appears the former double-wide that housed the studios and offices is really run-down and the parking lot is barricaded. Now it may be possible that only the transmitter is there and the studios are elsewhere, but that building on Rt 94 is a wreck. I'd heard some time back that the station has had some problems. Just wondering if it's still operating at all. I live in Pennsylvania now, so I would have no way of knowing what the story is.
 
KIRL changed to KHOJ 1460 many years aso. It is on 24 hours a day, only the transmitter is in the buiilding. Trailer was removed long time ago. Catholic talk format. Many industry leaders today passed thought those doors of KIRL, including Dan Mason, now president of CBS Radio.
