I heard that KPHX has dropped their coverage of "NOVA M" liberal talk to be the first affiliate of "The Lounge Sound" from The Standard Group. Brad Chambers (the morning guy and driving force behind MartiniInTheMorning.com) launched it on 1/1.

I haven't found a current stream...anyone in the Phoenix area listening?

With a little help from Wikipedia, I found the new website and stream for KPHX. Here's the link:

Thanks, pass, for (reminding me of) the link. Interesting that KPHX is rebroadcasting the MITM feed.

In watching the studio cam/audio feed, I am reminded of how thankful I am that we don't have a cam...

Actually it was NOVA M that dropped KPHX and moved to KNUV 11~Ninety where they have a better signal day and somewhat at night. The Lounge Sound was tried on rimshot KMVA 97~Five a number of years ago (with local programming) but never attracted demos in quantities most advertisers want. Nurse Jeff and I suspect the lounge lizards at KPHX will eventually be run off by another LMA'er who has colon blow, religion or Spanish language to sell.

...as is the case with a lot of these weak signals.

Still, I can tell you...get an idea (actually a successful Internet product) on one "real" radio station and suddenly GMs/Owners will take your calls more. Congrats to Brad!
