1490 WBSS back on the air

Noticed today that 1490 is back on. Currently simulcasting 1400 WOND.

It gets out very impressively for just 400 watts, I hope they put something good on it!

I enjoyed hearing the WIP simulcast; since 610 is now a simulcast of CBS Sports Radio, I think it would make sense to keep them around. Plus, WIP-FM doesn't come in where I live.

WBSS has been back on the air for a few weeks...Im surprised that they havent gone back to the simulcast of WIP-FM...unless they plan to change the format of that station

WBSS 1490

I notice that they have shut down WBSS transmitter altogether. Anyone have any info on what WBSS format will be ??

They have to, at least as far as WOND is concerned. When we simulcast temporarily back in the 90's when Howard Green bought the frequency, a complaint was filed because WOND's signal completely overlapped WUSS. The simulcast needed to be switched from WOND to WMGM until the then-new sports format was ready.
