15" and 17" TV's

During the 1980's TV screen sizes of 15" and 17" were sold, but it seems that after the 1980's they were discontinued. I remember they were sold by General Electric and Zenith, and possibly other brands. Why were the screen sizes discontinued?

No idea, but theoretically Bigger = Better

19" was a more standard size thus cheaper
