15 second delay on WPHT during tonight's Phillies game down to 7 seconds

It looks like they decided to turn off the in-house delay for tonight's game. However because of the HD IBOC, there's still about a 7 second delay. I guess this is their idea of progress.

Was it a 7 second delay to the actual game or the TV broadcast? The TV broadcast has many different delays (analog over the air, analog cable, digital over the air, digital cable, satellite, FiOS)
 
Why on earth are you listening to I-Bunk on delay when, given your location, WNPV Lansdale should be coming in crystal clear-- and with the Phillies in real time?

Personally I use WEEU Reading, which not only has robust audio (unless you're here, now) but also live, local news/time/temp at this terribly late-night hour of 9PM. While WEEU doesn't use "HD" Radio, it's certainly a victim of it. In the day, it gets hurt by WTEL's "HD" from 30 k.c. away (even though the "experts" said that "couldn't happen"), and at night it can get slaughtered by the "HD" of WHAS in Louisville. Yep, I lose a local service so a station 1000+ miles away can run George Noory in "HD" for six people.
 
Well no matter what I do, there's a delay between radio and TV. If WNPV is real time, which I believe it to be since they don't run a normal delay or have IBOC, there's still a 2-3 second delay in the TV broadcast (both analog and digital... I tried both).

But at least 2-3 seconds isn't as bad as a 7 second minimum thanks to the stupid worthless IBOC.

I noticed that 1210 WPHT's IBOC trashed 1200 all the way in Cincinnati!

Word is either WPHT or the Phillies have heard our pleas--

The Junk will be OFF tonight for Game 5. We'll see...

They're still delayed a few seconds. WBCB is 2-3 seconds ahead of the TV.

People would rather hear their local radio announcers calling the game than the folks that the MLB puts on the networks, but want to watch the video on TV. In the old analog days they were easily synced. Today, not so much.
