1530 WSAI Airchecks

I have several on cassette and CD, from the Real Oldies format, a few entire shows of Music Magazine with Ted McAllister, a few 30-45 minute recordings of Dan Allen's Dial-A-Hit, Marty Thompson's entire last show, and several others

There are a few WSAI airchecks that are mixed in with a box of 14 seven inch reel to reel tapes that I am forwarding to BobontheJob at the end of the month. He plans to scope them during the winter for us. In that collection I also have several reels of the old WKRC-FM Solid Gold format that was used on Q102 in late 1970 and early 1971. These were converted from 15 inch reels that I was given in 1974.

I'm sorry, as I reread your post I realize you are interested in WSAI from the 1530 days. I have none from that era.

But the q-102 solid gold would be interesting. Do you remember if Jack Stewart is on any of them?

I think the original poster wanted the SAI air checks from the mid 90's:

Bob Braun, Wirt Cain, Bill Whamsley, JFPO or the weekends with Dave Lee, Will Mason, Dave Mason, Mike Davidson, Mikes wife (sorry her name escapes me) and some others.

Oh yeah....and later there was Bucks Braun and Nick Clooney. (and wasn't party marty there too later?)

No, I don't recall. I got them in 1974 when KRQ was moving out of the little building in back of the studios. When I get a copy of the scoped version I'll let you know

Had lunch with Dr Boogie today and he brought some unscoped 1530 WSAI sookie. I can upload to YouTube or ftp them tho you. Let me know

Hey partymarty I would love to see them on Youtube.. I really liked the times when you used to fill in on the 1530 original hits station. I thought you were PD at the time.

Mike's wife is Maureen McCollough. Add to the list Sandy Megowen.

Oh, how could I forget Maureen and Sandy! Two great voice over talents.
