1550 am Back On-Southern Gospel

While driving home this afternoon I scanned the am dial and found 1550 back on and I'm sure it was them. Strong signal off Windy Hill where I was and heard Southern Gospel and news at the top of the hour from SRN. They must be taking the Salem Gospel Network or that is what it sounded to be.

It is a shame that when the moved the tower from Belmont Hills Shopping Center they lost most of their night signal and the day pattern looks like a waste of 50,000 watts.

Before I get too far... they did make that move, right?

Yes they did and moved because the shopping center and land was sold. Also the nightime 500 watts became to costly to run. The new site has far less towers of course. They are pretty clear here in Gwinnett. I did notice they were not on today as of this post. Guess they are still putting the fiishing touches on everything.

Wow...Southern Gospel!

Very original! Has there ever been a Southern Gospel station in these parts before?

;D :eek: ??? ::)

I know. Please enough. Anyway this is a pathetic excuse for 50K. Plus it is not on the air.

I agree. They seem to be testing and are on at different times.

Really, it is a waste of electricity, like most am's now. Lets see, 590, 640, 860, 970, 1080, 1100, 1160, 1230, 1260, 1310, 1340, 1400, etc, etc..... ::)
