You might need to use http://stream.aspstation.net:8000/zoom to pick up the stream. We are using the Barix encoder and a different streaming server. I needed to reboot the Barix today. I'm not sure why since it worked for many years as the encoder we used to feed the transmitter. It was flashed with the latest software. Maybe we should have left it alone.

We have church streaming their service on this server and that has been very reliable. I'm hoping the Barix settles down.

As for Tune-In, we might register the stream with them. I first need to figure out what to do with it. I removed the PSAs and any promos and commercials. Right now it is just music and jingles. The legal ID is still there. I'm open for suggestions.
 
I had it on the Android Sunday, then I could not get it at all Monday on the Android or any of the computers. Again today I cannot get it on any device
 
I enjoyed WZUM AM 1550 streaming, I do not live in the Pittsburgh Region, they played some great soul oldies. From the last couple of responses, is it the station coming back as an internet only station. I listened to the link and it worked once, and now it does not work. WZUM played a song by a female artist, the song something like this "I want to see you I want" or "i can't see you when I want". I never heard this song before. it a local Pittsburgh artist? Any help would be appreciated and Thank you. Also once when listening to WZUM, they played Bobby Wells "Be's that way some time".

"When Will I See You Again" by "The Three Degrees" hit number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart so it was very national.

The lyrics he quoted aren't really similar to those of "When Will I See You Again," which go something like "When will I see you again? When will we share precious moments? Will I have to wait forever? Will I have to suffer and cry the whole night through? When will I see you again? When will our hearts beat together? Are we in love or just friends? Is this my beginning or is this the end?" Luther Ingram's "If Loving You Is Wrong" has the line "If I can't see you when I want, I'll see you when I can," but Luther's not female. Could WZUM have been playing Barbara Mandrell's country cover?
 
BTW, anyone who enjoys the music of WZUM should also check out Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings.
They do an outstanding job of bringing this music into the 21st. Century.

In clicking the wzum website from Wikipedia I'll take you to Breezshooters, I know Stephen is a ham operator and the site is powered by ASP Station.

Both Stephen, n3zx, and I, wa3yoa, are Hams. That isn't the reason you found the Breeze Shooters website. The server hardware was replaced and I did not include the virtual server for 1550wzum.com. I restored the service and there is a very short webpage that points to the pghjazz.net site. Pittsburgh Media never transferred the 1550wzum.com domain. I see they registered wzum.org. That is a better name since they are using the call sign on both the 1550 AM signal and their 88.1 FM signal and they are not a commercial group so the.org works better for them.

Sorry about the confusion.
