1550 -- Your Most Wanted ... Now and Then

IIRC, they had an east-west "figure 8" night pattern. I seem to remember WOKJ with a good night signal in Atlanta.

If I remember correctly WOKJ directed most of its nightime signal towards Oklahoma and I believe some of it went into Georga. There was very little signal going south because there was a 1550 around Mobile/Pensacola that is now on 660 if I'm not mistaken. There were places locally where you could barely hear it but in Tulsa it would fry your radio it was so loud.
