1570

WNSH went off air a week ago Monday, in preparation for the big power increase--thought it was supposed to last 3 days or so but they're still off air. But maybe any day now they'll return with that 30kW day pattern
and WPEP would indeed be gone...WPEP has still been on the air last time I checked but I guess
once WNSH is ready to power up, the Taunton station's gone.

Such a shame... WPEP disappearing. Especially the 227 watts at night, which covered the market well. Probably has been mentioned before here, but I wonder if WVBF-1530 could apply for split freqs day and night, and braodcast at night on 1570 with 227 watts from Taunton. Middleboro by day, Taunton by night.

Tauton would have been big enough market for an adult-standards format (as WPEP day and night). If they owned the tower site and had no mortgage, that could have worked well. I'm surprised the Anastos group didn;t go that route, since Anastos has the only adult standards stations in the Albany NY area; so they have experience.
