Is this joke of an operation back on the air again? I've been hearing Spanish, here during the day but have yet to yhear a legal WVZN call at anytime (I listened for almost 2 hours Sunday).
They had lost their original tower site and were transmitting with a long wire last year, last I heard. They were on a Special Temporary Authority to operate while they tried to get approvals for a new tower site. I would not expect to hear anything legal on the air with that owner.
1580 is indeed back on, it was noted while on Route 30 passing thru Columbia. Interesting to note that NO English spoken/legal ID was given not in 3 hours I was listening last Sunday. What a FINE operation!
On a non-English station, the Legal ID, per FCC Rules, does not have to be in English but may be in the language of the format on the station at that time.
