Was in OC NJ today, picked up a station on 1590, never heard it before, many liners stating the top 40 hits of the past 40 years, it was an oldies format and had a broad variety...also had a great signal...the Hour ID said KHZ Ocean City probably OC Maryland and WYRE Annapolis Baltimore....I do remember a country station from Annapolis years back on 810AM WYRE but never one in Baltimore...there were no frequencies mentioned....No commercials and a 2 minute public affairs segments every half hour...Also noticed 93.1 simulcasting on 1230 the only thing was they were one song behind on 1230....very strange and WMID still claims 1230 and 1340 go figure...

WKHZ simulcasts on 810 WYRE Annapolis @ 250 watts...still a big signal. Plus a FM Translator, W282AW, in Ocean Pines MD @ 12 watts. They have a CP to move WYRE from Annapolis to Essex, MD, covering Baltimore with city grade.

EZ93.1 and 1230 do use the same hard drive library, but don't simulcast, except during the Phillies Games. 93.1 is commercial-free, so even though WCMC was just a song behind at the time, it wouldn't stay there for long, break after break. The cross-promotion of WMID and WCMC frequencies is just plain smart. Similar audience target, much cross geographical coverage. Why not? It's like the Morning show promoting the Afternoon Fellow. It all goes in the same wallet at the end of the day, and it helps builds awareness and brand for Equity.
