1650 AM possible pirate?

I don't really know what to describe here, as my DX'ing is a sorta new hobby to me.

I was listening last night on the high end of the AM dial at 1650 and I kept hearing a fading in and out 80's music station with no ID's and no commercials. A jukebox sort of station with long gaps between the songs. I left and came back several times and it was still there from around 10PM to nearly 1 AM EST. It may have been on later, but I had to turn in.

I am in Central VA and I wasn't hearing anything odd on the AM dial otherwise. The usual AM blowtorches were coming in on cue. I plan on listening again this evening and reporting further.

Anyone else hear anything like this?

Last night, (Monday) was pretty quiet all over the AM dial here. The temps also dropped to the low 60's and the regular thunderstorms have been absent too. I will see if tonight brings anything.......

WHKT Portsmouth is stronger in Richmond than the Mexican locals (1380 and 1480) at night. It's a talk station now (from Disney), but I've heard religious music on it.

Portsmouth was fading in after Midnight on Friday until around 2AM on Saturday. Barely audible at times and clear enough to make out ID's at others. I think they run some pretty low power at night.

WSM 650 was coming in like gangbusters around the same time though. Sounded almost like they were next door.
